Ingrid is a Speech Pathologist with a passion for supporting children in the early years to develop speech, language, literacy, and social communication skills. While her focus is on younger children, she enjoys working with clients of all ages. She takes a collaborative, child-centred approach, working closely with families to help children achieve their communication goals in ways that are specific, engaging, and meaningful.
Ingrid has experience implementing a range of evidence-based interventions to support speech, language, voice, fluency, and social communication development. She has worked extensively with neurodiverse clients and is committed to neurodiversity-affirming care, undertaking training in areas such as Gestalt language processing and emotional mapping.
Passionate about vocal care, Ingrid studied voice for four years before becoming a speech pathologist — skills she brings to therapy through creativity, play, and performance-based techniques developed through her theatre training. Paediatric voice care was also the focus of her research project. Her love of literacy, shaped by her experience working as a librarian, continues to inform her work with children and families, fostering storytelling and reading skills alongside communication development.
Outside of work, Ingrid enjoys spending time at the beach with her dog, Pilot, cooking, and reading. She loves finding creative ways to make therapy fun, meaningful, and motivating for the children she works with.
